When people repeat themselves.

I am not a psychologist or anything to that degree but I have theory. When you repeat something to someone, that you have already stated at least once in a clear and concise manner, you are no longer trying to make sure they understand. This doesn't fit for everything but I think for the very important things, especially emotionally charged ones, perhaps what your really trying to do is re-assure yourself instead of confirm for the other party.

So while I sit at work and listen to movies I have seen so many times I almost have them memorized, I get to hear again my Favorite lines. Figured I would share them with whoever else might be board and for some reason reading my Journal entries.

Chasing Amy:

"That's what she says, but I think on your hands and knees; Being filled out like an application, constitutes 'Being with a guy!'".

Stupid Chinese cinema.

So I am thinking of going to see 1408, this sunday sometime. If anyone might be interested in going with me to see it, let me know. It has John Cusak in it so I am thinking it will be cool, but I am slightly wary as the title states.

Kevin

For all the Firefly fans out there.

Universal HD Channel Schedules Firefly and opens Firefly Fan Boards
Saturday, June 09 2007 @ 11:20 AM PDT
Contributed by: Cordrone
Views: 0
Serenity NewsFirefly hits the television airwaves once again, this time on the Universal HD Channel.

Starting in July the Universal HD Channel is going to start airing Firefly again on Saturday nights but that's not all. They have also created a Firefly fan forum for Browncoats to "misbehave" in.

Universal Admins are asking opinions, responding to users, posting Firefly photo galleries, and otherwise supporting these forums in what appears to be an attempt by the studio to gage the viability of possibly funding another Firefly or Serenity project.

Serenity is worth fighting for. Support Firefly and Serenity on the Universal HD Firefly Boards! http://boards.nbcuni.com/universalHD/index.php?showforum=4
Join, Post, and be Shiny!

Never thought I could be more lost.

So now on top of everything that has already covered me to suffocation, I am not possible going to get my wages docked due to a stupid debt, that sarah always tried to get me to take care of.

Yeah!! Life.

Update..

Turns out it wasn't the Best Buy debt I thought it was. Instead it is the traffic ticket I got for not having proof of registration, while driving sarah's car, that didn't have registration. Not any better, cause it's still 1200+ dollars.

Tech support, the new magicians

Often in the realm of help desk and all other forms of technical support. I often get calls from people who are less then computer savy. There are things that happen where I fix an issue and they are amazed at how quickly and invisibly I resolved something ( even sometimes I don't do anything and it resolves). Usually when these instances occur with the afore mentioned individuals they get very animated and wonder how I did that.

Now if I could respond how I wanted to it would probably go something like this.

It was Magic, the darkest kind of magic! If you do not send my your first born in an year and a day I shall turn you into a lemur! MHUAHAHAAHAHAHAHA.

Our Stupid cat named river, may just be the psychotic genius we named herafter

So my wife tells me that our cat is not learning that the door knob is something that moves doors. so while I was trying to sleep earlier today we hear the cat making various noises from the room we put her in. Sarah eventually lets her out when I got up and we later napped again. I wake up to this odd sound, I finally realized it was the sound of chops being liked, I open my eyes to see my at hovering about my face. This is what I believe she was thinking at that moment.

" I am learning door knobs fucker, Next Cutlery!"

Everyone be weary of the freeway today

So I get off work at 7:00, get on the freeway at Mather field on ramp. Stay in the slow lane as I get up to freeway speed. there is a white car sceaming up from behind me, and I figure it was gonna pass me since I am on the slowest lane possible. Instead I get rear ended with no braking at all from the other car. Sarah's car is smashed up in the back and I have Wiplash up and down my neck and back.

then after I get checked out at the ER to make sure it is nothing more serious, and to get meds. on the way home I watch a car speed past me on 99 heading up the 12th street off ramp. he sped past multiple cars on the offramp by using the sholder pad, he proceeds to try and slide past the cars stoped at the red light at the top of the over pass and through the red light, he either got clipped by another car or clipped a the light pole cause last I saw as he was quickly going out of view was his car lossing control.

Stay away form the Freeway if ya can.

I am ok in case anyone cares.

Kevin

Working as technical support for a Hospital system is giving me a paranoid complex

Seriously I am afraid of getting sick or injured in any way. I am afraid I will have to go into the hospital and stay there for any period of time, and have the soul care provider of my well being will be one of the poeple I have to help as a help desk agent. The reason I am so scared of this occuring is because more then 50% of the people I talk to are completely and utterly incompetant. They are either so dense that they cannot understand anything technical, and therefore process the things that their job now requires them to process. Or they are unable to remember a user name or password they had since they last used from anywhere to the day before to a week or more. If the person who is suppose to be monitoring my health and the doses of medication that might be strong enough to kill me, or I might possibly be allergic to, and they can't remember something for more then 24 hours, dear god my chances of survival are slim.

this is worse then knowing how fast food prepares the food I often eat.
